Which companies are hiring their first SDR right now?
Every Monday the Weekly List picks 20 companies that just started hiring for sales (first SDR/BDR, AE or RevOps role), each with the public job post and a suggested opening line. See this week's list, free →
Where are the new SDR teams?
By the country of the job post: United States (27), Germany (3), Canada (2), Brazil (1), Japan (1) and Mexico (1); 4 remote or with no country given.
Which of them are building the whole sales team at once?
4 of these companies also started a new RevOps or Sales (AE) team in the same 30 days: Develop Health (Sales (AE)), DNSFilter (Sales (AE)), Roofr (Sales (AE)), Kombo (RevOps).
Why does a first SDR hire matter if you sell to them?
A first SDR team needs dialers, sequencing tools, intent data and contact data within the first 90 days. The weeks around the hire are when those decisions get made, which makes the job post a timely, specific reason to reach out. It is a timing signal, not proof of budget.
How does RoleDawn find companies hiring their first SDR?
RoleDawn checks 4,481 company career pages on Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workable, Recruitee and Workday every day, sorts every title into one of 43 role families, and flags a company the first time an SDR / BDR role appears on its board. Each row is labelled "New on their board" or "Likely new team · inferred"; see the full definitions.
How do I get a Slack alert when a company hires its first SDR?
Create a RoleDawn monitor for SDR / BDR and paste a Slack incoming-webhook URL. Every morning at 13:00 UTC, the companies that newly match post to your Slack channel, each with a link to the job post. Setup takes about five minutes:
Create a Slack incoming webhook for the channel you want, using Slack's guide. It looks like https://hooks.slack.com/services/…
Start a 14-day free trial (no card). Starting from this page, your first monitor already watches SDR / BDR; the 3-step setup lets you add a region, required keywords and a target account list of up to 500 companies.
Paste the webhook URL in the last setup step, or later under Delivery in your dashboard. Save it, then click "Send test to Slack" to check the channel.
Read the morning message. Each line shows the signal label (New on their board or Likely new team · inferred), the company and the job title linked to the post. If more than 40 companies match on one day, the rest are in your dashboard.
Slack alerts are included in the trial and in the Pro ($99/month) and Agency ($199/month) plans; Starter ($49/month) sends the same digest by email. All monitors on an account post to the same Slack channel. Watching a list of named accounts instead? See how to get Slack alerts when target accounts post new jobs.
FAQ
How do you know it is their first SDR hire?
RoleDawn keeps the history of every role family each company has posted on its own careers page. "New on their board" means an SDR / BDR role appeared on a board where we had already recorded postings and had never seen that family. "Likely new team · inferred" is an estimate for boards we only recently started tracking. Neither is proof the company never had the role, and a posting is not proof of budget.
Where does the data come from?
Job postings that companies publish on their own Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workable, Recruitee and Workday boards. No LinkedIn scraping and no personal contact data. Staffing agencies and intern, temporary or contractor roles are left out.
Is this list free?
Yes. This page and the live list at roledawn.com/first-hire/sdr are public with no signup. A RoleDawn subscription (flat $49 / $99 / $199 per month, 14-day free trial, no card) sends new matches to Slack or email every morning.
How often is it updated?
Every tracked careers page is re-read about once a day and this page is rebuilt from the latest data. The "Updated" date at the top shows when.
